I have noticed major differences in the quality of movies on DVD especially between the computer player and the TV player. Listed below you will find all the movies I have (or have seen complete) and how good I think the quality of the movie is. Also, some DVD's add a lot of stuff that was not available in the original movie. Some of these may include additional soundtracks, alternate movie dialog, interviews with producers and directors as well as differant camera angles and out takes...
To rate the quality of the picture, I will use numbers (from 1 - 5) 5 being the BEST and 1 being the poorest. I will try to explain what makes it good or poor.
To view my DVD's I am using the built in hardware assisted DVD feature of my ATI Rage Fury (rage 128 32meg) video card with ATI's DVD player software version 3.1.
For TV viewing I am using a Proscan DVD/DIVX player (and no, I never bought a DIVX disc).
